Usagijen summarized that in the extra after chapter 27, Nagihiko/Nadeshiko reasons that there are two ways that he knows why shugo charas are born. Here's the exact segment:

"Nagihiko gets into some serious Shugo Chara talk, discussing two of its birth patterns. First would be for people who already realized their would-be selves, yet seeks a new self (like Kuukai and Yaya, whose personality doesn’t really change much despite undergoing chara change). Another one would be those who are still looking for what they want to be, whose complete self is realized when they go Chara change, like Tadase and Amu. Nagihiko wonders if the reason behind Temari’s personality is because of his inner desire to return to his guy self xD. The reason why Nagihiko went back to Japan is for soul searching, since he’s been thrown into a slump after realizing how lacking he still is in terms of his dancing skills. This also explains how Temari reverted back to its egg state, and why he gave birth to yet another egg."

I think they have some on youtube too... haven't checked lately. I'm just waiting hungrily for chapter 28 downloads. So far I've only seen people summarizing and nobody has real scans to it. I can't wait to see Nagihiko go back to school!

Yeah, but he hasn't officially go back to school. Like, they didn't announce him to the school and he didn't go to the royal tea garden place yet.

I really don't think so. Then it might confuse some of the readers who are... less fast at catching up with stuff. I don't think they normally do that in mangas (?), but I"m not really sure. Either way I don't think so. PEACH-PIT might want to leave in some qualities of Nagihiko that could help prove that he's Nadeshiko later on (like pulling up the hair into a ponytail and speaking with a girly voice) and cutting it would cause Amu to be more skeptical ^^
